Can I bring my exempt banned breed?

Guidance on bringing all dog breeds, including XL Bullys, to Grow Walkies fields while maintaining safety and compliance with UK regulations.

Yes. Grow Walkies welcomes all dog breeds, including exempt banned breeds, in line with current UK legislation.

Our secure fields are privately booked, giving you exclusive use of the field during your session.

From 1 July 2026

Third-party liability insurance is no longer a legal requirement for owners of exempt banned breeds.

Please note that this does not affect your personal liability. Owners remain solely responsible for any injury, loss, or damage caused by their dog. We continue to recommend obtaining appropriate insurance where available. You can read more in our Terms.

Visiting with an exempt banned breed

  • Dogs must remain on a lead and muzzled in public areas, including the Grow Walkies car park.

  • Once inside your privately booked field, dogs may be exercised in accordance with current UK legislation.

  • We ask all customers to arrive no more than five minutes before their booking and leave promptly at the end of their session, in line with our standard car park rules. This helps minimise interactions between dogs and customers in the shared car park and provides a calm, safe environment for everyone.
